This is the only recording of the full Max Steiner score for Operation Pacific. It is in the “free form flowing” style of other Max Steiner film scores that have been made available exclusively for members of the Max Steiner Memorial Society, and it has been recorded from the composers original studio acetates.
A 2:18 version of the opening title sequence for Operation Pacific can also be found on the Max Steiner Memorial Society CD,"Casablanca - So Big (MSMS 8)," which was produced in Germany exclusively for the MSMS.
